How My Guitar Path works

Questions
How is this different from YouTube?
None of these lessons are on YouTube. They’re the private courses our teachers recorded for members: professionally produced, in order, with chapters, tab and chords that play along, and a plan. YouTube gives you one video at a time and never knows where you are. Jamz knows every lesson here, answers your question in plain words, takes you to the exact second a teacher shows it, and builds My Guitar Path so you know what to play next.
I’m too much of a beginner / too old
He answers at any level and he doesn’t judge. He’s your personal coach, available 24/7: ask the question you were embarrassed to ask, and he takes you to the lesson that answers it, at your level.
Does he listen to me play and give me a score?
No. On Plus, Jamz never hears you play and never grades you: you ask in your own words, even “something sounds wrong and I don’t know what it’s called”, and he answers and shows you the lesson. Your questions are used to answer you and to improve the coach, and that’s all. Keep sensitive personal details out of them. Nobody is watching you practice.
Is Jamz a real person? Is he replacing the teachers?
No, and no. Jamz is our own AI coach, built on the lessons Marty Schwartz, Brett Papa, Tim Pierce, John Konesky and 20+ more teachers recorded here. They’re the teachers, he’s the coach who has watched all of it, and he never speaks as Marty or as any of them. Every answer he gives points to a real teacher at the real second.
What if he’s wrong?
Then the lesson he links is right and he isn’t: the teacher is the source of truth, always. Flag any answer and a person at GuitarJamz checks it. Two things he won’t do are fix your tone or tune your guitar. For everything else, the lesson is one tap away.
What exactly do I get with Jamz Plus?

What does “100 questions a month” mean, and what if I run out?
You can ask Jamz 100 questions a month on Plus, about three a day. Most weeks you’ll use a handful. If you turn out to be a heavy asker, Pro has 250 and Max 500. The lessons, your path and the play-along are yours regardless, and the count starts over every month.
Should I pick Plus, Pro or Max?
If you’re not sure, Plus: it has every lesson, the play-along, the path and 100 questions a month. Pro ($149 a year) raises that to 250 questions and Max ($299) to 500 and adds “Jamz listens” on a clip you send him. Whichever you choose, the whole library is in it.
I don’t have time.
My Guitar Path is three things a week, twenty minutes, every Monday, built from your level and the song you want, and re-planned when you get stuck instead of piling up behind you. Miss a week and nothing expires. The lessons wait.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. Open guitarjamz.com in the browser on any phone, tablet or computer, and our App Store and Google Play apps are being updated to the new GuitarJamz too. Sign in with an email code, or with Google, Apple or Microsoft, so there’s no password to remember, and one account works everywhere.
What if it isn’t for me?
On the yearly plan you have 90 days: email support@guitarjamz.com from the address you bought with and we refund it in full. Monthly has no refund for the month in progress, which is one reason yearly at $97 is the gentler way to try. Ninety days is long enough to know.
How do I cancel, and will you charge me again without telling me?
Cancel any time from your account page, no email, no phone call. Jamz and the library stay until the end of what you paid for. Before every renewal we email you, 30 days ahead on yearly and 7 days ahead on monthly. A charge from us is never a surprise.
